Muhammad Shah II (1378-1397 AD)
He was an outstanding in the history of Bahmani period. He ruled a fairly long region of 19 years. He was a peaceful ruler patron of art and literature.
He ascended the throne after Daud shah.
He firstly took action by reappointing a great statesman Malik Saifudin Gori (grand old man of the deccan).
He was a man of letters with great learning in persian and arabic.
He patronized poets and philosophers.
He took considerable interest in the welfare of his subjects. He promoted every kind of scheme that could remove the evils of rural and urban life.
Mohammad shah took great interest in education, he established orphans schools at Gulbarga, Bidar, Dabul etc.
He died on 20th April 1397 AD.
Only one day after his death the great Prime Minister of Deccan who served for 5 Deccani kings also died.

Ghiyasuddin Shah
(20-04-1397 to 14-06-1397 AD)
He was son of Mohammed Shah II who ascended the throne after his father.
His rule was only for nearly 2 months. He appointed many Persians newcomers to high positions which was not liked by many Gulbarga aristocracy and Turks. They are headed by unscrupulous Taghalchin who wished to be prime Minister. To fulfill their desires, one day he invited king and with a cheap hypocrisy he blinded the king, arrested him and send to Sagar.

Shamsuddin Daud Shah II
(14-6-1397 To 15-11-1397 AD)
Ghiyasuddin's step-brother Shamsuddin put on the throne by Taghalchin and he seemed to got what he wanted. But soon after Firoz Khan and Ahmed Khan (son in law of Mohammed Shah II) stood up to take revenge. Firstly they flee to Sagar and gathered an army and marched towards Gulbarga but this was failed. Then they apologized and ask to come back, but when they come to know that their life is in danger, Firoz allied himself with the party oppose to royal court, and went to the darbar and dethroned Shamsuddin and declared himself as new king.
