Khwajah Imaduddin Mahmud bin Jalaluddin Muhammad
bin Khwajah Kamal Al-Gilani was born at Qawan, or in its more
familiar form Gawan in the kingdom of Gilan on the southern
shores of the Caspian Sea in 1411 A.D.
He was a outstanding personality in the history of Bahmani kingdom.Bahmani kingdom reached to its zenith during his period.
He was a great statesman, administrator, a great scholar he was great patron to education.the Madras at Bidar for the upleftment of education.
MAHUMD GAWAN wrote the books Riyazul Insha and Minhajul Insha.
Riyazul Insha is the collection of the letters .which address to number of minister of Deccan and kings.
HE WAS A GREAT PRIME MINISTER OF BAHMANI KINGDOM.

THE MADRASA building have a three storied with different rooms for students and staff.Around the world students came here to study .In the Madrasa they thought different subjects like sanskrit,Arabic,Astrology,Mathematics, etc. One student one teacher method they followed.
On the walls of the building we found Arabic Verses. It is a great contribution of Mahmud Gawan.
