Shihabuddin Ahmed Shah "Wali" (1422-1436 A.D)
Ahmed shah wali ascended the throne after Tajuddin Feroz shah wali. He was a stunch disciple of Hazrth khawja Banda Nawaz. He was a great king in the Bahmani kingdom a great patron of literature art and architecture. He was called as "WALI" (pious).
During his period a transfer of capital change took place.
Since 1347 to 1422A.D Ahsanabad was a capital of the Bahamni.
After 1422 A.D
Ahmed shah wali was responsible for founding the city of Bidar ( mahmudabad )
Historian mentioned many more causes were responsible for the change of caiptal.
1):- Gulbarga was climatically hot and was stony with less rainfall.
2):- The death of Hazrth of khawja Bande Nawaz.

BIDAR was named Muhamudabada fter the name of his son.
Ahmed shah wali constructed the grand mausoleum of Hazrth Gesu Daraz at Gulbaraga in 1424 A.D

He was a man of a creative temperature and it is said that he invited a number of new designs in artillery technique.
